Extended Live Archives for WordPress 2.3

Extended Live Archives is still one of the most outstanding archives plugin today, though it is losing popularity within WordPress blogsphere. WordPress 2.3 will come with native support for tagging, the upgrade of database structure has resulted in incompatibilities for the current version of ELA and a number of other plugins. A Hongkong blogger Tinyau, has recently modified ELA to accommodate the new database structure. An unofficial version of ELA that supports WordPress 2.3 alpha is now available.

For more information and the download link, read Tinyau's blog entry.

Since the introduction of v2.1, it started to break my frontpage displaying, I have to give it up. I don't know if the hack from tinyau can fix this bug. Maybe I would give a shot.

Which one is better? SRG Clean Archives or ELA?

@Wyman: I personally think ELA is too complex and over weighted. And I'm going to switch to SRG Clean Archives when WP 2.3 is out.

@Michael, this problem is not yet fixed in the patch. If I have time, I'll try to check if the problem can be fixed by myself.

I've been using ELA for a long time now and it's good to know that someone took the time to make it ready for Wordpress 2.3. Thanks for the tip! :)

Thanks for taking the time to test stuff out in advance before 2.3 gets released. With all these security flaws/updates in Wordpress lately its nice to know someone is thinking ahead even if its only about one plug in.

Want to start your private office arms race right now?

I just got my own USB rocket launcher :-) Awsome thing.

Plug into your computer and you got a remote controlled office missile launcher with 360 degrees horizontal and 45 degree vertival rotation with a range of more than 6 meters - which gives you a coverage of 113 square meters round your workplace.
You can get the gadget here: http://tinyurl.com/2qul3c

Check out the video they have on the page.

    Cheers
